So many awareness raising days/weeks/events, are the lives of people with mental distress getting easier? We’re not convinced so instead, we’re coordinating an alternative to Mental Health Awareness Week this May, Mental Health Action Week.
Mental Health Action Week is a week of free ‘actions’ taking place across North Tyneside week commencing 14th May 2018. Service users and survivors were asked to identify the key themes negatively impacting on their mental health. Each of the actions fits into one of the following themes:
- Difficult life events (bereavement, trauma etc)
- Physical Health
- Access to quality and appropriate support and services
- Benefits, work and poverty
- Relationships and social isolation
Please go to week commencing 14th May 2018 on the calendar below to see what’s on. If you click on the activity, you will see further information and contact details.
Some actions require you to book your place in advance – please do so by using the contact details provided for that particular action.
Please check back regularly in case there have been any additions or changes.
